Caesar uses straightforward pay-as-you-go pricing based on tokens and searches. No subscriptions, no hidden fees.

## Token Pricing

All token types are priced the same for simplicity.

| Input tokens     | 1.00 USD / 1M tokens |
| Reasoning tokens | 1.00 USD / 1M tokens |
| Output tokens    | 1.00 USD / 1M tokens |

> Tokens are the basic units of text that models process. A typical word is 1-2 tokens. For example, "research" is 1 token, while "cryptocurrency" is 2 tokens.

> **Typical usage:** Caesar averages between 250,000–1,000,000 tokens per reasoning loop, depending on query complexity and the number of sources analyzed.

## Search Pricing

Each web search performed during research is billed separately from tokens.

The number of searches depends on your `reasoning_loops` setting. More loops means deeper research with more searches.
